I will be going to all the friendlies but it does not stop me agreeing with Brad. £10 would have been enough, £13 is over the top. We are not moaning, just stating an opinion.
Cheers towd, if you look online at virtually EVERY other club, league AND non league, you'll struggle to find any friendlies charging more than £10 as Chesterfield & Gainsborough are charging v the Millers. No business a***en whatsoever.
Last season was abysmal. The supporters have stumped up the same money for League 1 football in great numbers. The club say how grateful they are but still charge those same supporters £13 for knockabout friendlies.
More than a tenner to watch a friendly is a joke. It simply makes me want to do something else. I can easily afford a tenner but I hate been taken for a mug.
They do take us for mugs Heman. You're spot on. Not just RUFC but all football clubs. Season ticket pricing too high and too rigid (in most cases - some clubs are more forward thinking), the cost and poor quality of refreshments, rip off prices for branded merchandise and three new shirts a season. With all these things they charge as much and as often as they think they can get away with. That includes a premium that exploits the blind loyalty of a hard core of supporters. It is short sighted commercially, and it stinks.

True Smiler, I've often brought up the idea of a six/ten match ticket designed for fans that can't commit to a season ticket along the lines of what Doncaster do but it gets dismissed out of hand by the commercial staff at the club without a valid reason as to why not.
BTW Does anyone know about the fans forum we were promised at the end of last season?
