Stop talking about it & actually do summat. I hope I'm wrong but I'm confidently expecting the "couldn't quite get it over the line" phrase being used quite soon & quite regularly......................#blah, blah
"………………….., so I am trying to work out what I've got in my team at the moment. …………."
I know I've become quite cynical and hope its ill founded, but it doesn't install much confidence when according to his quote, he still doesn't know what he's got in his team!!!!
No mention of irons in the fire tho', so we must be steaming ahead. Time will tell
Not feeling hugely positive. The absence of movement out of the door is more worrying than the lack of movement in. We have a lot of wages tied up in players who we know aren't going to contribute. Also I am hearing a lot about players who Warne is expecting big things from who he seems to have far more confidence in than I do.
Vaulks is a prime example. Warnes seems to rate him as do one or two fans, but I think he's sh y te. All about opinions I suppose & I'd love the lad to prove me wrong but I have severe doubts.
I'm getting deja vu of the last few years - talk up the current crop/crap and speculate that we are in for few good signings that we then miss out on because we won't pay/let someone else know/never intended to get. We are just gradually weakening the squad each year until we settle back nicely into L2.
It ain't looking good. I may even vote against renewal of my season ticket. Warney's current manifesto needs fleshing out to convince me to renew. RUFC have while 1.00 pm next Saturday to sign players worthy of wearing a club shirt.

I would absolutely Agree, it is following that usual pattern, the same soundbites etc. As smiler says, the disturbing facts are just as much about the lack of movement out as well as the lack of new signing all of which seems to point to a lowering of sights and a much watered down ambition. An established Championship club ? Not in my life time.

Again, I have to agree. I don't get to many games these days as I live quite a distance away and regular visits are beyond my purse, so I have to pick and choose my games.
But for the first time in several decades, I'm beginning to lose interest entirely through dismay; not because of relegation, but because of the way the apparent set up has manifested itself particularly over the last 3 years. Nothing seems to add up to a club that has potential to achieve or aspire to be anything other than what we have always been. It remains to be seen whether I bother next season.
