anyway I like many others have criticized the appointment of Paul Warne as the manager. citing many reasons
but lets face the facts he is now our manager for the foreseeable future. I am now going to reserve all future comments until we start playing properly in august. and then we can see whats happening on the pitch.
Next season we will be in league 1 what the budget will be know one really knows apart from stewart.
i will be there next season shouting on our team and ripping into the ref

I am looking forward to the Derby game to bid farewell to the Championship for a little while. We have had some great home games against Derby so I am hoping for another one, and hopefully some spirit to take into next season.
I was very much opposed to the appointment of Warne as manager. I just don't get it. Like you Hillsborough I will give him a fair chance now he is in and hope that it turns out to be an inspired appointment. I am a bit concerned that two or three times now Warne has hinted or indeed stated that next season's side will largely consist of this seasons players. That isn't filling me with optimism. But lets wait and see.
When Warne(s) hinted that he'll take the majority of this seasons (squad) into next season it fills me with dread. We all know he likes to be mates with his players & who wants to upset their mates? I have said often that the bunch of players we have (hardly good enough to even call them a squad) would be relegated from L1, I'm just praying they don't have the opportunity to prove it.
brad
i hope he proves all wrong , but i kn ow what you mean but we cant rebuild the said every season like we have last three seasons he need to keep a nucleus of the team and go from there
Odonell not good enough Ball why is he not playing now? Newell as I've said before going backwards Frecks love him but injuries rule him out Forde inconsistent Wood not good enough no pace .
Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, Warne announces that probably 90 per cent of the current squad will be with us next season. Well if that's the case I am 90 per cent certain we will be relegated next season.
While I agree with Hillsborough that some of them will perform better in the 1st Division we have to remember that this is a bunch of players who have a losing mentality. Warne tells us we should be proud of the players efforts against Reading, we still lost again Paul. Your comments have become so predictable Paul post match .
It must make the job of reporting on the Miller's so easy. I am prepared to bet most reporters pen their comments pre match.
If I may Paul I would like to offer you a little bit of advice. To quote the words of an old song Paul, you say it best when you say nothing at all. You will never succeed by trying to be best mates to all the players all of the time.
As Ronnie Moore once told me the art of player management is knowing which players you have to put your arm around and which ones need a kick up the arse from time to time. If you don't toughen up Paul I fear for both you and my club. Will I give Warne a chance? Of course I will, in the same way I have given every manager that the Miller's have had over the years a fair chance. The Same go's for any player who has ever pulled on a Miller's shirt. But I have to admit that my patience has come to an end with the bulk of the present squad, pathetic is to kind a word for most of them. Pathetic just about sums up Paul Warned defence of the squad.
I issue a challenge to both Paul and the players please, please prove me wrong and I will gladly eat humble pie in huge amounts.
But always remember,Once a Miller always a Miller.

towd codger .
i agree with what you say warne cant be everyone mate.
but dont most managers back their players no matter what
he needs to get a assistant in who has a reputation of a been a no nonsense arse kicker.
Warney the good cop, Barker? bad cop. By 90% does he mean of players under contract next season.
Kelly, Wilson, Dawson certs to be released. Camp will leave. Blackstock sure we've seen last of him. Ekstrand & Allen will be gone.
Price can go. Belaid not fussed. D Ward extend his contract, only let him go for the proper asking price. JCH give him a new contract. Try to sign Adeyemi.

Can't wait for August.
I don't disagree with any of that T71. The problem though is that none of the players you have listed as surplus to requirements (apart from Price) have been playing anyway in the last few months. So I don't see how letting them go will improve the woeful performances or change the losing habit.
From where I am looking, the sixteen we putting out week in week out at the moment aren't good enough to compete in League 1 and we don't even have a strong nucleus to build anything around.
I too can't wait for August because we will win more games next term than we did this - I am sure of that - but without a real clear out and major surgery I don't see us pulling any trees up or finishing above half way at best.
