You will only get the 8k ST fan base if the Football Club stops lying to supporters over ambition, transfer fees offered etc. A PROPER business plan incorporating a half decent training facility, supporter involvement, utilisation of the empty units at NYS, cohesive youth policy etc etc might intice fans to invest in the club, leaving things as they are RUFC will be lucky to sell 2000 ST's.
According to BBC Radio Sheffield's Rob Staton on Twitter, Tony will announce plans for next season after the Piggies game next Tuesday.
So expect more Premier League ambition, Warnes has done a fantastic job under difficult cir***stances &deserves to have a crack at L1 (Cheap option). Part of his conversation with Staton included "we need to be playing rising stars instead of fading stars" so I read into that we're skint, so expect 17 year old loans from PL & Championship clubs & rushing our youth players through. ST marketing strategy will include the usual tubthumping rhetoric, & if they do (which they should) at least freeze ST prices, it'll be marketed as though they are doing YOU a favour.
Thoroughly p**sed off!!!!!
Never mind Oxford, we got turned over very easily by Morecambe earlier in the season. That's when it became clear how we would fare for the rest of the season.
