I appreciate your efforts in trying to keep us posted in goings on at NYS but in truth, in case we get a real manager in quite soon, I don't think anyone gives a toss until July. The manager is sh y te, the players are embarrassingly bad, & the 2016/17 season ended about the end of January.
Why is my post offensive? Don't understand, I'm just saying the truth as I see it. Other people's opinions may differ. Paul & Joe post here to offer their/their papers view of events, mostly with rose tinted glasses, I'm merely stating that there ARE other views & if you or anyone else finds that offensive, then they should possibly close this forum down, as it's supposed to be about opinions.
Sort out this well known phrase........ Wrong of end you've stick got the the!!!! Debate is all about controversy. I am.. not for one second expecting everyone to agree with me.
I think the point is though (and OK the Tiser printed my letter, so they do look on here and listen to what we say).. that Paul and Joe need to get across, in writing and in interviews, that we fans are VERY ANGRY, and need very basic answers on key questions, which I would respectfully challenge Paul and Joe ask and publish:
a) We as fans and people who work in business ourselves, cannot and will never accept is was good business sense not to sell Ward - with the 2016 accounts published - even more so - who was responsible for this decision and will they be sacked?, such as any employee losing £2M would be in any competent business, If not why not?
b) Why have we not yet appointed a new manager to start to assess the existing players, deciding who, if anyone, to keep, and plan for next year. Whilst the fans love Warney, anyone who has ever watched a football game can see he currently is not a capable football manager.
c) The club, in our opinion, has made some monumental mistakes in terms of player appointments, player contracts and failures to land target players, players who are keeping other clubs in the championship. There must be someone, or more than one, person in the club who are responsible for player negotiations, player contracts and player sales. As this is an area where the club appear to be completely failing, is the club going to replace any and all of these staff, as any business would, and if not why not?
d) What are the clubs plans for RUFC? whilst we are all 'Millers' why should we even consider supporting the club, coming to watch or renewing our season tickets, when the club does not appear to be addressing failures that are obvious to all of us, and must be obvious therefore to TS?
Good post Davidedin. It seems that every decision that is made is as dumbfounding as the one that went before. Its as though they've hit the self destruct button.
If they ever hope to repair the damage that has been done to the clubs reputation and start to regain the fans trust, then at least they can start by answering the questions above.
I'm pretty amazed too we didn't take the £1m we'd have got, and remember those accounts show nothing of this season, I dread to think what they're like? - maybe healthier - hence not the sale? (although I'd be surprised given the failures and wage wasters like Blackstock etc)
lets face it its coming more apparent that tony doesnt give on though on us fans who are the true rotherham united. players managers backroom staff chairman and chairman sons come and go but we stay
we have to face facts tony will do what he wants when he wants . he looks at blackpool and thinks hey if he can do it so can i

A fans forum with Pauls and/or Joe as compare would be a fine plave to put these questions directly to the clubs representitives

The next accounts will show a higher turnover mainly due to cash dribbling ( pun intended ) down from the Premier League TV solidarity payments. We only have to account for paying Alan Stubbs some compo. Paying compo to Evans / Raynor / Redfearn won`t have come cheap. Warnock & entourage coming in would have been costly, not to mention the bonus that Warnock got for saving our season. Not trying to paint a rosy picture but remember this.......
Barry Hearn regrets selling Leyton Orient when he did, as it stands it looks like he sold to the wrong people and sadly Orient are heading for Administration any time soon, unless someone bails them out.
Chesterfield F.C. were put up for sale last November, Dave Allen has decided not to put any more cash into the club on a long term basis. CFC were reputedly £15M in debt, not sure if they have sorted their finances out but do hope they have. Relegation to League 2 looks imminent for them.

Very, very sobering . And lets not forget the plight of Coventry city too as they have yet to bottom out.
Cursory glance at the National league and regional divisions reveals just how easy it is to slip and slide following a period of over performing.
It seems that the Bubble was indeed just artificially inflated and supports the idea that we were very fortunate to be promoted and survive for 2 seasons.
It currently seems unrealistic to expect a solid platform of financial investment in our club that would make us a serious and stable contender for promotion to; and stability in the championship. Historically, I guess this should not be too much of a surprise, yet, I find myself surprised and somewhat deflated.
The championship is really a very powerful division; perhaps even more powerful than at any time. Even Big clubs get caught in the vortex at times and pulled through the trap door after their respective bubble bursts. Of course, the main difference is that the support on and off the field remains but a club the size of ours simply does not have the base that natural momentum springs from.
A tad depressing.
Heres to a cup run next season...although we are really quite bad at those too.
