Firstly – let’s deal with yesterday – A millers goal, and no penalty. Should have been 3 points for us. The pundits of the Championship Showagreed, and anyone with half a brain cell would agree.
If I made decisions like that in my job, I would be sacked, simple as that – yet there will be no action against Robinson, no change of result, no justice.
Putting yesterday to one side, why oh why does football not catch up with the rest of International Sport and install a Television Match Official (TMO) like rugby, the ability for key decisions to be challenged, like in Tennis and Cricket, just for major decisions such as goals, sending offs and penalty decisions, not run of the mill decisions – it’s just ridiculous we don’t have it.
I don’t buy the statement that things even themselves out over a season, one point can get you relegated or promoted, and it’s a problem that can cost clubs £millions.
Maybe he thought he was paying SWFC back for the decisions made against Hull last season, probably the last time he ref'd a SWFC game, at our expense !!
Mr Robinson is allegedly a Brighton fan. You might be thinking. 'What's that to do with the price of fish?'
The Football League should not have appointed Mr Robinson as match day referee in the first place.
Remember, Rotherham were charged by the Football League after they played the on-loan Derby defender Farrend Rawson in their 1-0 win over Brighton on Easter Monday 2015 and a three-man disciplinary commission docked the Rotherham three points.
Wasn't it Brighton who called 'Foul'?
We survived that unfortunate episode. But it nearly cost us our time in the Championship.
RUFC should appeal yesterday's red card given to Richard Wood.
If the appeal is successful, where does that leave Mr Robinson? Certainly not smelling of roses.
Furthermore, where does it leave the result of the match?

Good point. Actually , if we cant have an official to look at replays at critical decision times like Saturdays, (and I do understand the arguments against) then action should be taken to punish those in the wrong, i e bad refereeing and or cheating.
We cant change the game that has been played but if through video replays it is clear that a player cheated to gain a penalty then the side which won that penalty should, post match, pay a penalty with a points deduction. So in our case, we were beat by a penalty won through a dive then Wednesday should not be appointed the 3 points. That will go some way to stopping individuals cheating if its the club that pays

With reference to Saturday's game and the news that Richard Wood's red card has now been rescinded It's now time to introduce the
video judge. We need to kick cheating out of football!
Agreed... can't come soon enough in my opinion... and if referees are honest it should take the pressure off them making stupid decisions like the ones on Saturday... if they are not sure, they consult the TMO, just like Rugby union.
