I would give it a go, shoestring budgets are what he is used to, as the Blues didn't have a lot of money, and Burton definitely didn't have anything at all.
But as i have said in other posts - Warney till the end of the season.
He's definitely the type of manager we need. He has Championship experience as both a player and a manager and has been astute financially which would appeal to TS. Unfortunately for us, his performance at Birmingham will probably mean that teams with much deeper pockets will be keen to take him on and he probably has bigger ambitions than most probably taking a club down into League 1.
Disgusting how Birmingham have treated the guy, his record with them is not too shabby is it? Interesting stat on R5L that he got Brum to two top 10 finishes with a wage bill that ranked 18th in the Championship.
If he'd come to the Millers I'd go down and pick him up myself. Exactly the type of manager we need who can get the most out of the players he has.
But Warne is on record as saying he doesn't want the job. It seems he's thinking about job security. As fitness trainer he is permanent as long as he wants it, as manager he's here today gone tomorrow
There are two options talked about in our local press. Firstly Norwich if Alex Neil should get the sack. Secondly one of 2 un-named Prem sides. The thing is it's not just Rowett but his whole backroom.
Eddie Howe said to Jeff Moxey that he didnt want the job at Bournemouth, and now look where they are, albeit through cheating with budgets.
Maybe Warne needs the self believe that he can do the job, with support of course, the head of recruitment should give Warne hope that he can concentrate on the team rather then the Agents etc.

Of course one would like to think that such an asset and great guy like Paul warne could be guaranteed a fitness role back at the club if he was offered and did take the job.

Give it a go Warney, nowt to loose.
True enough. That is a good example of a perfect match too. The ingredients just go together and you get a Bournemouth. Obviously they have had more money but the principle that managers and clubs really click sometimes is true enough.
I think you are onto something about PWs self belief. He deffo is anxious not to be a failure. Its in the influence of the club to reassure him about his continued role when he is sacked...or poached by Real Madrid.
However, Id still think Warne is better off as fitness coach as he does not really want it due to his anxiety and security.
