This has got to be one of the most bizarre

episodes in the history of Rotherham United.

I see a club in meltdown. Unless there is an imminent injection of funds, and by that I mean a substantial amount of

inward investment, then all that is RUFC will ultimately go belly up. RUFC will not even survive in League One.

Two questions spring to mind.

1. Is the club currently having cash flow problems?

2. Are the playing staff being paid?

Eh, i mean - i can have a look tomorrow if you want.

There are ways to find out.

But again if we had £2m to spend in the summer, and didnt use it, then surely this is available.

Hang on, hang on - not that long ago everyone was praising TS for his penny pinching and astute management of the club without debt. Do you mean is the money going from the club to something/somewhere else???

Things will improve next year, I have been expecting relegation and TS does make some shocking managerial appointments. Compare it to 6 years ago.

No tears for me if RUFC disappear off the face of the earth. Throwing lit fireworks at opposition goalkeepers whilst your other supporters stand by and watch and applaud. Hope we never see you again.

1.  They were smoke bombs.

2.  They were thrown on the pitch but not at the goalkeeper.

3.  Every club has a few k**bheads and we are no exception.  I saw a handful cheer and applaud the smoke bombs - no more than that.  Not excusing what happened, but you've over-reacted massively.

4.  See you in a couple of weeks.

What about the racist abuse directed at Izzy that he is complaining about on twitter? I wasn't there yesterday & couldn't possibly comment but I personally witnessed similar at Barnsley. Our percentage moron count amongst our fanbase is increasing, life bans should, but won't ensue as it won't be "important enough" to investigate properly.

I didn't know about that allegation Brad.  I don't know whether it happened or not.  I was there and didn't notice anything like that myself.  I don't think there was any collective offensive chanting or noises, but whether there were individual comments or not I can't say.  If there were then it needs stamping on.

Whatever their politics, I think everyone (who isn't racist) would accept that at the moment there is a worrying retro trend towards racism becoming more evident than it has been.  It might be that there are more racists around, or it might be that people who have always had racist views now feel more emboldened to express them openly.  I don't know.  There is also a retro trend towards hooliganism getting back into football.  I think it is a societal as well as a football issue.  Again, that isn't to excuse it but I don't think it is just a Rotherham thing.

I was appalled by the level of abuse dished out at Barnsley and said so at the time, although personally I didn't hear anything racist there either.

The smoke bomb incident - yes it was stupid and irritating, and I don't want to downplay it.  If anyone was in danger it wasn't their keeper, but actually fellow supporters with breathing problems.  In fact there was at least one older man in a wheelchair who had to be taken away immediately with his mouth covered.  If they can find out who did it get them sorted out.  But if you read Burton Brewers post you might think that someone was launching Bangers and Rockets at their keeper and it just wasn't like that.

Well for a start I do not believe we will be in the bottom three in in league one. Anything has to be better than this slow death. We have all supported the Millers for years and I for one have certainly witnessed much worse than the current situation.

Admire the optimism Sickly but i feel we are now seriously hindered financially and the situation will only get worse the lower we fall in the football league structure

Its easy for me to comment from so far away, the fact that I can get matches in the xmas period especially our glorious victory at Pig world makes me happy. Regardless of the mess and I have no doubts it is substantial, we have seen and survived far worse. We will be back.
