It feels very flat around the club at the moment and it was evident on Saturday. Resignation and apathy around our fate and certain L1 future. It's undoing all of the good of the last few years with Dee Daa even looking at us to score the lowest points ever in the champ. Bloody depressing, it really is. Can anyone think of anything positive to say? if so please do ("Stubbs not being our manager" excluded.
Cant offer any solace NY, but I think the malaise goes beyond Stubb' tenure and possibly beyond Redfern too. Warnock showed what could be done and in my opinion what should have been done in the summer, ie appoint a manager who knew the Championship and had experience. that was not done. I feel sorry for Jackett
We can look forward to winning some games, big crowds, lots of goals ,Maybe a trip to wembley in the play off final.. only 1 and a half seasons to wait !
Trouble with winning the playoffs in 1.5 seasons is we will go full circle. That definition of madness, doing that same thing and expecting a different result etc. No point being in champ if not gonna compete - better being a decent L1 outfit as depressing and unambiguous as that sounds.
Dodged the bullet in 14/15 & 15/16,fatally wounded in 16/17!!!
Without investment relegation is inevitable. Who actually believed Tony's pre season bull***t? PL aim, record fee offered etc etc
Get Christmas out of the way & they'll only be Season Ticket holders going & gates will go down to 6500, face it, would you buy a half season ticket to watch that????
