I think it probably comes close. An ageing player with very few options manages to negotiate a 5 figure 3 yr deal with a manager desperate to find a player who could be the key to saving his bacon. An unholy mix. __________________

Just to inject a little perspective.

Firstly, we dont know what he earns

secondly, he is only 30

Third, he has played his whole career at this level for decent teams

fourth is that he has had a couple of bad injurys-which may also be cited as part of the "worst deal scenario"-so he might also be going to improve

five (phew!) He has only started a couple of games!!!!!!!!!!!!!
