Amazingly some around me thought Woods was weak. He had a tremendous game and not just his incredible spirit but that header deserved a goal and produced an excellent save. He blocked and was in the right place many times to cut out crosses. He was very physical -something lacking and it made a difference.

Looking back on the game I think its one were we genuinely just deserved the win over the 90. It was much closer than any other game this season and apart from those last 15 minutes when some of the players were dead on their feet we gave more than we got.

Broadfoot and Wood have to be the choice going forward in central defence.

Great reception from the fans for KJ-it was warm and optimistic and I felt he returned that too.

One cant blame one for personality so Im just going to say that Stubbs is not the right man for a front line managerial job. Even the quieter coaches have a personality that leave you in no doubt whats required. The thing with stubbs is that he was simply too nice.
