let's put one idea to bed once and for all...

Okay I was wrong about Stubbs....but now, following his failure, we must put the idea to bed that RUFC will one day be be a  an attractive footballing side, who play neat passes etc. Forget "total football". From now on we will stick to what works: we want a team of cloggers, cut throats and thieves....real hard b@stards who will intimidate the opposition, wind up opposing supporters and clog the shi t out of a football whoever it is in our half....so for me we need a manager who fits that mould....."public enemy number one"......give it to Paolo Di Canio on a monthly rolling contract.

What have we got to lose?

Wrong isn't the right word.

Deluded seems more apt

I admit I got it wrong about Stubbs. That doesn't mean I can't judge a manager or a player. My track record on here is second to none.

That's why I say Di Canio......please not the ultra-boring Jacket. We need someone to ignite the passion again. Give it Di Canio.

Really no need, for personal and hurtful abuse. Is it because you can't construct a sentence or formulate a coherent argument?

Di Canio is only attractive given his mad passion. I think that once again we need to remind ourselves that we dont need to take a risk .

TS and the board simply need to appoint a successful championship manager. It would show that they have at least noticed the blinding obvious and if it fails there can be little that sticks to them in terms of integrity.

The club have made plenty of mistakes in recruiting and can only point to Evans as an example of a man with a strong CV and sticking with him once we got promoted was easy given his continued success. Every other decision has been based on the ego of TS who believes he can spot raw talent and therefore boost his ego. I dont mean to be disrespectful at all but I dont regard our great chairman as a great talent spotter. Indeed, thats the paradox, one doesnt need to be a talent spotter. One simply needs to play the percentages in a prudent fashion-thats how one builds anything.
