Its as though he believes its the players fault and not his selection and method of play. I dont particularly blame the players, I think we have the makings of a decent squad that could, if coached right, compete to a respectable level in the Championship.

Without Stubbs as the Manager though, my patience is wearing thin.
Remember what happened last time we played the Blues and won then SE was sacked Monday morning, i feel this cannot continue and if we do lose, then im afraid bye bye AS, and hello Stuart Gray or Kenny Jacket
So what do we do keep changing the manager till we might get the right one and i say might because nobody ever knows who will be the right one,you can make a case for appointing anybody you like to think of but it does not mean it will succeed. You have to determine what is a reasonable time to give any manager and that is doubly difficult when you are competing in a very tough league with limited resources.A dozen matches is hardly fair to judge anyone on,Stubbs is a tough hombre and sticks by his players and will not roll over easilly, many fans are upset with him over the performance of the team, but i sincerely believe that he will turn it around, the next 6 games are probably going to either save or sack him,but whatever i wish him luck.
If we were in L1 or L2 even, I think you could really cast caution to the wind and give a manager plenty of time to develop a settled side and blood younger players, It worked back in the day and thats fine if the ambition is no further than L1. It worked during the McGuigan days. A mixture of seasoned pros, Goofellow, Spencer, Gwyther, with youngsters, Finney, Crawford, et al. But the chairman and the club were going nowhere fast.
Its a different game now with lots and lots of filthy lucre sloshing around and a fair amount in the Championship, its not like it was in Div2 days. Failure to maintain Championship status will put back the clubs development years and the loss in revenue cannot really be contemplated, particularly a club our size, we'd be back in the McGuigan days except in NYS.
Changing managers every two minutes is not good and is always a risky business anyway. But success comes at a price. We just dont have the luxury of giving Stubbs much more time, otherwise we are going to have to hit promotion form just to catch up with fellow strugglers. Under Stubb****ting that type of form just aint gonna happen. If your in a hole stop diggin.
I think Stuart Gray could do a decent job for us, and as mentioned I think the current squad has enough in it to survive. Six points from 12 games? I could have achieved that for TS and done it 75% cheaper.
his record is abysmal
his record is Scotland was mediocre
I ve seen several of the worst performances under stubbs that I care to remember.
Yet, despite that I am sticking for now.
He deserves 20 games.
some may think it folly
I think it makes sense. we have to admit that no one was happy just surviving (i was as it happens) so why sack a manager only to prepare for another repeat.
Im sticking as I think its time the club really looked to allow a manager to develop and develop a team. If we go down we can bear it. We might then have a manager who is really part of the fabric and can build more consciously than this time when its been fire fighting all the time.
Some of the available mentioned candidates to replace Stubbs have also been sacked for being a failure, its a risk business allways has been, the most successful manager ever in football league history was on the verge of the sack. Now even they cannot seem to appoint the right man.Things can change lets wait a while longer,if it doesnt change he will pay the price.
Calling someone an idiot is very insulting and im sure you would not like it and would probably react too.You have your opinion and that should be respected but you wont get any by resorting to insults.
If I have overstepped the mark I apologise & I'm sure ExeterMiller as mod will either reprimand me or delete the post but if our present in***bent of manager didn't behave like the aforementioned "insult" in his tactics, transfer dealings & interviews then just perhaps I wouldn't be inclined to use such terms.
It shows the strength of feeling you have for your club and it is very very frustrating, lets hope some good times are on the way,we have suffered enough, one thing for certain is that we have nothing to lose,we cant get much lower.

I was inclined to believe you then I noticed Portsmouth in L2 for God knows how long and a national league littered with once proud football teams.
And then there was Doncaster and Blackpool and Bolton.
It can get much, much worse.
What about Dean Saunders as next manager ?
