So Warnock goes straight into Cardiff and signs Chamakh, Bamba, Kieron Richardson and Junior Hoilett. ..there are some decent enough championship players that are free agents! But yet our fans think free agents "are just **** players nobody wants" Obviously those players will be on more than we can afford but surely theres better free agents than drivel Stubbs has signed. Peter Odemwingie has an offer from a Lg 1 club ..we can offer Championship football. Leon Osman is getting on abit but still, better than we have got. Forget waiting till Jan...get some freebies in!!

I don't think that is the issue, the issue is that we won't pay the sort of wages that would attract any of the players that have gone to Cardiff...

If Warnock had stayed - he would have identified decent players and got us up the league, but my assumption is that his conversations with TS after the end of the season showed that he would not have any sort of reasonable budget for neither signings nor wages - so he left, knowing his hands were tied and therefore couldn't help us..., sadly.

I dont mind being prudent, nor do I mind (to a point) maintaining a sensible wage structure, but surely I would have expected a successful business man to realise he needed to invest that bit more to have given Warnock/ A N Other a fighting chance.. For a'porth o' tar we're going to lose Championship status, and the financial loss would for a club our size be significant.

I cant understand why spend all that time, energy and expense in building something good and significant and let it all slip away for want of a workable strategy to give us a sporting chance to build on the achievement and to stay there.

towdlad, might it not be the case that one simply runs out of the necessities?

No one plans to lose but try as we might there are times when someone comes in last.

We may be pumping all the iron we can handle. It just isn't coming together

I have often thought that given Mr.Stubbs,s connections to Everton ,we could have tried to bring in Osman and Tony Hibbert who were both released at the end of the season.I have also reasoned with myself that we maybe did and were turned down either because we did not offer enough or they did not fancy it.I would hate to think that they were not considered good enough.
