Rotherbird, I have just got back from the Norwich game and your question was asked over and over in the car. Newell was superb in the first half and then, as seems to be the norm, taken off, baffling doesn't do it justice!!!!

It just goes to show how opinions can differ Archie. I have just started a new thread with comments on the game and the wider picture and without seeing your comment here I described Newell as being off the pace. I like Joe Newell but thought he was pretty poor today.

Did you think he was the weakest player out there? He must have been in AS's eyes as he took him off first (again). In the first half I cannot think of one misplaced pass and his crosses were excellent. But, as you say, football is all about opinions.

I like Newell but honestly didn't think he was very good today aside from a couple of decent deliveries from corners.   I thought Halford was the weakest player out there but Stubbs had to change the attacking side of things.  I wouldn't have argued if Brown had come off instead of Newell but you just think that Brown maybe has it in him to do something special.  Newell still doesn't look quite match fit to me.

Our manager IS A MUPPET IN THIS LEAGUE. 95 yr worst away record, shocking to watch, awful signings, 1 poxy win, 3 lucky draws ... ffs TONY give us a chance and get shut! Me and 9000 fans could do a better job for free.
