Isn't this a little academic . No one expected a result today surely .
That's nothing to do with how poor we have been but we knew where we were at 14 days ago.
Maybe you didn't expect a result but I expect our team to be competitive even in defeat. Last season we gave some of the big boys a bloody nose, we went in to every game with the hope that at least we had the players who were capable of getting something.
This season we are the whipping boys of the league and I fear that we will be cut adrift needing a miracle to avoid relegation before November is over.
Disagree ian, until Tony steps out of his self imposed verbal exile & takes this club out of the freefall it is in at the moment, the fans have every right to voice their concerns.
Ian - to answer your question, no right minded Rotherham fan expected a positive result today under the current management. Towards the end of last season I would have definitely expected a positive result and, arguably, with a bunch of players without the potential of today's squad. I have never read so many negative comments from Miller's fans simply giving up because they know full well that we do not stand a chance in this league with the current regime. We can cling on as much as we like to the chinks of light against Huddersfield and Newcastle but it is as plain as the nose on your face, under the current regime we are 99% certain to fail. And before anyone starts with get off the manager's back, I'm not being negative or disrespectful towards Stubbs. I'm being realistic - some people are made to be leaders, others aren't. My main emotion is anger. Anger that my football team is being embarrassed week in, week out because the people charged with running the club have less idea than the average fan in the stands of how Rotherham United Football Club really works.
We can also say that we've had a tough start, Norwich, Newcastle, Huddersfield, all at the top, but then we' also been beat by teams at the bottom Cardiff, Blackburn, Villa.
We can also point at the financial differences and use that at a reason, but that has been the case over the previous two seasons but we managed.
We're adrift at the bottom with a goal difference of -16, we're falling like a lead zeppellin. Yes there have been odd bright spots of improvement, but improvement or no, theres still only 6 points on the board.
The worst manager in my time and Ive been watching the Millers since 1960

Not sure how you managed to suggest fans shouldn't have their say there Brad.
Tony -what options does he have ?
I just can't see how he can change it.
I'm pessimistic about change .
The mangers to replace stubbs; are they realistic . I cannot imagine gray or jacket coming .

How can he change it?
He can bring in a manager capable of motivating a group of players
He can bring in a manager that has some modi*** of tactical nouse
He can bring in a manager who can affect the game with well thought out and timed substitutions
He can bring in a manager who the fans can get behind
and he can bring in a manager who can get the team to compete home and away, win lose or draw.
So we wait for the inevitable so we reach the level we can budgetary afford, ie bottom half L1 OR L2?
Or does Tony admit that he can't do it on his own anymore & publically tries to attract significant outside investment?
A new, hungry manager with his OWN backroom team (so we can finally say goodbye to Mssrs Dibble & Warne, both of whom are pinching a wage) with an affinity & a voluntary interaction with supporters as part of his managerial style, more thoughts??
He has sacked previous managers for doing better than Stubbs has done thus far. I see no improvement and it's all about incremental improvement for Tony isn't it? To go down will be a disaster and he needs to act now or that is where we will be heading.
Also note for any future manager.....Players from Scotland are only good enough for the English National League, certainly not the Championship, ; nb Tidser, Allan, Vaulks, Fisher etc etc

Good but hard questions to ask of someone like TS.
However , they are built on speculation. Let's say TS asked for investment ? Who is going to come? What kind of multimillionaire would make things better ? And how would they invest beyond the FFP?
And also why habe dibs and Warne got to go?
Do you know they are poor coaches ?

If it's that black and white then I say sack him. Indeed I would have sacked him after 4 games.
I know it's awful to say but I think we are down already .
Warne is supposed to be in charge of "fitness & conditioning". How many times this season & the last two have the players tired & run out of steam? Camp is a very experienced & competent keeper, as is Price, how many times do they need to be told their jobs? Pinching a living, the pair of them.
In answer to your question "How do you know they're poor coaches?" have a look at the League table.
