Seeing as Assombolonga has just signed for 5 years, hope we haven't gone too nuts on this, maybe the '3 years' is a lower wage. Another player on a last pay day though, but hopefully he'll give it his best shot, maybe teach young Yates a thing or two as well. My frustration isn't at strikers, I don't believe they're that critical these days, neither is 1 up top, we had Revell for what 3 years and we seemed to do OK out of that. Get some attacking movement in the players, be less obvious and more free, get them enjoying themselves, they'll run through walls if the results start to pick up

We haven't had a real quality striker since ALF. This guy has quality. Fitness will come. He needs to be brought on on about 70 minutes. Even I can run for 20 - 25 minutes.

we need to play two up as seem in capable of getting up to support the lone striker fast enough

dany ward wins 80 % of headers but often they are covered by the opposition

I think he'll be great and I'm looking fwd to Saturday, although if I'm honest it's the usual sort of optimism brought on by starting to drink too early on a school night... :)
