I don't really have an issue with the young and (they are) talented bunch brought in, the issue with me is how they're used. The sooner AS finds the right mix the better as the longer he doesn't the worse it will be for him & our Championship status!

Agree , but I'm Still smarting over small wood.

I just watched the second half v Brentford again and he is outstanding really.

Such a shame he has gone.

Tidys up
Produced one hell of a pass.
Tireless
Watching the runner all the time.
Actually won't he ball back several times and really organised others.

Jon Taylor is a good buy. I like him. He's direct.  Quite fearless and got some pace and skill.

Allen , is talented and I'm not sure why some fans aren't more positive.  I'm sure he will get better.

Ball , is the stand out player for me. Got a bit of everything.  Confident and very mature and wants to win.

Valuks, can be good for us but he needs to learn where to be and becone a lot more aggressive consistently.

Izzy, clearly got it in abundance.   Stop Wimping out. Switch on. Follow your defensive duties. Be a little more positive.

We shall see on the rest

I agree completely with your views on letting Smallwood leave. Our defence is a real concern and needs the protection of a defensive midfielder which we didn't have at Barnsley. Halford or Adeyemi have to start Saturday otherwise we will concede. I still can't understand AS logic of playing Kelly at left back when we have Mattock on the bench, playing players out of position doesn't work.We have two home games to "put things right" with the fans, failure to win either and scenes we witnessed at the end of the Oakwell debacle will become commonplace. Despite the away form, home form isn't too bad and we need to make NYS a fortress as I can't see to many wins on the horizon on our travels.

I'm still so disappointed at our lack of transfer activity in the transfer window, but we have to go with what we have now and Smallwood has departed and good luck to him. I shall be there Saturday and again on Wednesday as I always am, but sometimes it's so frustrating following the Millers.

Fisher want to see him keep his place at Right back. Him & Taylor who I rate have got to support each other. Ball looks good. Adeyemi once fit will be better than Smallwood. Vaulks think this passing game doesn't suit him he's more direct, there's more to come with him. Yet to see Fry or Blackstock. Allen there's skill there but has he got the strength, pace for championship football? Not impressed with Foster-Caskey or Forde. Wilson can do a job but he's not 1st choice. Brown he's either a striker or nothing. Can't play on the left wing not being able to kick with his left foot.

Newell is back who can play Left back or wing + midfield. One of our championship quality players.

AS as got to pick players in there natural positions. Left back Mattock, Newell or Belaid.

Mattock is the puzzling one for me. New players - all a bit soon to judge them. It's easy to make a case for him coming back in after we've just lost 4-0 but Mattock started the season really poorly and looked half interested at best. Maybe he was carrying a knock - he came off against Sunderland and was limping about after Wolves equalised. He seems prone to picking up niggly injuries. I agree that if fit and at his best he is a good player and would be a shoe in at left back, but what worried me early season was that he was making basic positional mistakes that a youth team player wouldn't make, never mind someone who is now an experienced pro. Something wasn't right.
