Please forgive my ignorance,I have been away and reading the report on the Brentford game I saw that we have two new players -fisher and ball.I did not recognise the names so I checked the squad on the O/S and was no wiser.Help me someone please.I have not posted this request on the dark side as I prefer a reasonably polite reply.
Darnell Fisher, right back signed on a three year deal from Celtic can play left back too so useful competition for Mattock and Kelly, likes to get forwrd and looks useful when he does so. Dominic Ball signed from Tottenham on a three year deal. Can play centre back or defensive midfield, was on loan at Rangers where Stubbs came across him. Is comfortable on the ball and likes to play out from the back rather than hoofing it.

cheers mate,I was listening to praise and grumble on sat night and a caller was commenting on "the new lad from Tottenham" and I was thinking he meant Brown from Chelsea.
If there is one thing I think we can really praise the current regime for it is signing these 3 as they look good.
Ball and Fisher represent the 2 kind of permanent signings the fans have been crying out for. Both look comfortable. Both are young. Both are not loans.
