The criticism was a bit OTT but it's because we CARE as fans.

Constructive criticism is perfectly acceptable but personal abuse is pathetic and totally unnecessary.

Short of splashing the cash all over the place or rushing in to signing anyone desperate to get a contract anywhere (which we have been guilty of before) the club can't win. They get criticised for jeopardising deals by saying too much on one hand and criticised for apparent inactivity if they say nothing, and people make up their own theories on what is or isn't happening and why. They can't be beyond constructive criticism but some of what has been said by supporters has been unfair, and a small minority have gone way too far. TS has said we have money available, but we all know it is not going to be the sort of money that most of our competitors have. We therefore have to look after it and spend what we have prudently. We can't expect to know the ins and outs of what is happening behind the scenes and up to a point we have to trust the chairman (who has never let us down) and the manager (who seems switched on) when they say that they are working hard to do the best for the club. Perhaps at times they feel under pressure to reassure supporters and perhaps under pressure to say too much. Unfortunately too many people are too quick and too vocal with uninformed criticism, it is far too easy for everyone to mouth off publicly and sadly in this day and age in society generally patience and trust are in very short supply.

Personal abuse is out of order, but criticising the approach shouldn't be. We are signing our 1st team 3 days before KO of a new season, so some criticism is not unfounded. TS has been great for us, nobody doubts that I hope, and the various comments have been about this closed season - not his past record.
