We get reports pre season about big money player budgets. Ground expansions. Training facilites improved. Guest n Chrimes. Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah F'nin Blah.
End of the day, we have today published a squad of 20, count em people, 20 1st team players. Of that 20 at least 4 have never kicked a competetive ball "in the football league"
The training ground "is here, its there, its got investment, its not"
The Warnock "Niel said this, Niel said that" - non of which have been fully implemented.
Too many other conflicting reports from the club to list.
RUFC, Tony Stewart, Paul Douglas, Gee Evans, Alann Stubbs and the rest of the RUFC team...........
Please stop projecting Sheeite above where you know we are.......
Tell me we want to progress yes but dont BullSheet a BullSheeter
I don't think that there is anything to be too concerned about.
What about the other clubs in the Championship?
I haven't seen any major signings taking place.
I'm not gonna get neurotic any time soon.
Well I'm not. I'm sure I'm not.
Sometimes its best just to keep shtum and get on with things. In the old days, tended to be the only time we heard anything was from local radio. I remember parking near Millmoor regularly and hearing new stories of players, lineups etc. I wish the club would just keep bloody quiet. If you want the insider news, go to the game & buy a program, you don't have to blurt out every if but and maybe to any media outlet you can because historically 99 times out of a 100 the club end up making excuses why such an event didn't take place. Do that and the only way expectations get raised is if success happens on the pitch. We know what and where we are, and what we're up against but all the falacies and over reaching optimism isn't helping the club, players, fans or anybody else
However the world and people have changed so much since the relatively innocent days you are remembering.
I admit that I like the media attention as I can make my own mind up but I agree that some are too immature and it really winds them up.
Perhaps more solid focus on football and aspects such as what players do to.keep fit and videos of training and interviews about the mental and physical demands in the local media and on player and YouTube would gradually make the process more realistic and informative
i think half the problem is the local media are required to write more articles due to the constant on line era 'demands' but when there's nothing to say they still have to write, so a a non story comes out, we click read get frustrated
whos says it was grant ward i heard although he enjoyed his time up here he was looking further south
ipswich means he can commute
Hillsbrough i appreciate your optimism but come on, we cancell a pre season with the Cod Heads n play a closed gate game with Spurs why?? The main point of my thoughts are we cant sign anyone of note that we have to pay a fee for., Ward, Bradshaw etc. Dont get me wrong, players will appear by the end of August, players that no one else wants, that are looking for a contract, the likes of the lad from Forest. Unfortunatley it will be too late by the end of the transfere window, we will already be well in the manure by then !!
