9 months, and he won't be the same after. Although keyhole its a nasty procedure, I had 2 on the same knee in 6 weeks, and it was 4 months crutches 9 months of physio hell. A year and a bit on and I'm about another 9 months away from even contemplating football again. The word is with these its such a long recovery it changes your gait and adds pressure to the other knee and anyone who has had an ACL will tell you no way would they want it again. That will always be in his mind. I did mine doing less than a jog, not physically or mentally tired, well warmed up and on an indoor surface - shows how easy it is
I've had one too but it took me a little less than you before I was back playing competitive sports with no difficulties ...the confidence was the main thing.
I'm Being hopeful in saying pro athletes should have much better outcomes than Joe blogs.
oh absolutely - and it is all about the physio and stuff after which will be outrageously better than what we get, but all that can't influence the mindset. I'll be interested to see how Wilson does for Bournemouth this season as he should be ready & raring to go now - being a similar but infinitely better player than JCH.
I do want to get back playing, I bought an automatic car just in case- no fun last year - can't drive with a duff knee & broken left collarbone, auto transmission fixes that!
