So the moneys in your hands who would you go for?

As so many fellow fans seem to know who we should sign and for how much for lets have your views.

They must be realistic targets that we could afford or even out of contract players.

Ill start off with Two freebies that could be worth a punt

Carlton Cole

Will Hoskins

To Buy

Danny Mayor-Bury Winger

Adam Le-Fondre-Striker For sentimental reasons and knows how to bag a goal

Faissal El Bakhtaoui Dunfirmline-striker. Young and promising worth a punt, seen him play last season in the flesh and looked the business

To loan

Tammy Abraham young chelsea striker playing for England u19s in the euro champs at the moment and highly rated,10 goals in 5 games at that level and stand out striker in their youth team

Remember the targets must be Realistic for us to be able to buy or loan.

If we have the cash to splash on over rated Millwall strikers why don't we invest that money in trying to tempt back players that we've loaned before done a good job but left for better wages?

Players like Tavernier for example?

Tavs, I fear would now cost a few million...maybe several...and an hitherto unheard of wage for RUFC

Just shows you Ian if we would have got him and payed the wages, which we could afford at the time 10k. What an asset he would have been and would have made us a nice amount for selling him on.

Absolutely.

It was pretty clear he was very good and clear he would get better and better. A real talent.

I talked to him after the play off semi v Preston and begged him to stay. He said, if the money is right and smiled. Nice guy it has to be said.

What does Paul Douglas do?

and Gee Evans for that matter,

Also i have a big problem with them going public on the ones we are interested in, and guess what....they never sign.

Never heard of any public announcement that we were in for Lewis Price, then BAM we sign him, Me thinks a trend happening here.

Don't say who we are in for, get the deal done, then off we go onto the next one, its a numbers game, are there a lot of hungry enough players out there who are willing to take the plunge and play for the Millers?

I for one hope the next 2 weeks are filled with signings which show we mean business.

UTM.

Paul Douglas does two things. Firstly he runs the club. Secondly he gets lots of unmerited stick from supporters who are frustrated and don't have any real knowledge about what is going on behind the scenes, but want someone to blame for everything. I have no reason to think he doesn't do the first part of his job very well. I know for a fact that he excels at the second.

Freebies i'd have had a look at with a view to a 1 year deal..Distin, Hangeland, Sessegnon, Maybe worth 2 years ...James Vaughn, Kenwynne Jones. Plenty of kids on premier lg clubs books to look at for loans..just please stop taking championship journey men on loan! How many have been worth their wages over last 2 years?? Who would i spend money on ... ALF, Armstrong, spring to mind.

Paul Douglas does have a sense of humour however...he offered Foster from Brighton a one bedroom flat in Canklow according to his twitter to seal the deal...

Not having a go at you HM. I just think that to blame Mr Douglas when things seem not to have gone as supporters would like them to go is a bit harsh. He is looking after other people's money and no doubt he has to work within the constraints that he is given. Do you really think that he decides how much we offer to players? I suspect not, and think he probably sorts out the nuts and bolts within parameters given to him by the people he works for, though I may be mistaken. He also has to deal with agents and the media, and may not have much control over the information that others give or leak to the press. It might be that he is doing a perfectly good job with what he has to work with and what is under his control, and that he is just as frustrated as you and I are about the outcomes. I've done a little bit of business with the club and although we are none of us perfect, and I don't profess to know the man, I have on the whole (speak as you find) thought he seemed pretty impressive.

By the way, getting it back on topic, we have signed one Lewis from Wednesday and I would like another - McGugan - if he was available and affordable. I doubt he is going to get much of a look in with them, and we are crying out for someone who can pass the ball like he can.

McGugan is a good shout. Right & Centre backs any names. Not at sell by date. 2 Strikers, 1 a big mother again not has-beens, journeymen. 5 players needed min to start season.

It's OK people saying don't panic, but how much longer are we going to leave it with absolutely NOTHING HAPPENING.

It's not just that Brad, but surely we need at least 5 new players, 5 who will have 17 days or less to get fit, learn how to play with those we already have, and for Stubbs to make a team from.

If we had a decent full squad already, and were just adding to it, that would be OK, but we simply don't have a team at the moment, we can make as many excuses as we like but it's simply not good enough...

it may or may not be, but the alternative is to now panic and buy someone for the sake of it and then fans can complain we shouldnt have bought them.

I dont think we are doing too bad. we do actually have a team and we have one or two that might come through the selection process who are training with us.

Its not where we want to be but we have tried two big targets that the club wanted. Its tricky but if you were buying a car you really wanted you would have to go through the same process.
