Walsall were a tad mawdy in their official response.

I hate to say this but him putting his request in, coupled with us not exactly being discreet in our interest; will in all probability increase his price tag and wage demands.

This has blown it wide open. We don't stand a chance.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....... wake me up on Saturday 6th August at 2.30 pm and I'll say, we signed who?, who are they?, just them?, what happened to Bradshaw, Gregory and the others ?

I'm happy with our new manager (benefit of doubt and all that) , but whoever deals with our player signings needed to be sacked when Steve Evans was still here... and still does.

I would imagine we have more cash than Barnsley and are slightly more attractive given our 3 year stint.

Either way its good to have a near rival so close to us in so many ways. It can only help push us on as there are another 21 teams to worry about too.

Looks like he will be going to Barnsley.
Maybe they are banking on a windfall if John Stones leaves Everton.
It seems we are always the bridesmaid and never the bride!

Not actually too worried...there are plenty of Targets and they all carry some degree of speculation and therefore risk.

The good news to hang on to is that the money and will to spend is there and that is a big change.

We have some decent players in the small squad and granted we need that striker or two, but we have positives and no doubt will get someone in...and it will be trial and error always.

Ian, I normally agree with a lot of your comments but get realistic. The pond we are fishing in is getting smaller by the minute, in fact it will soon be a puddle.
We have a chairman who talks big but is not delivering the goods at the moment.
Worrying times.
