Said a few weeks back get Best in regularly and watch us turn. Its a little bad luck on NR as had he been available I really don't think we'd be where we are, it would have changed his whole mind set having someone like that where the ball sticks allowing us to counter attack properly rather than employ total no risk football which ultimately got him sacked.

Being reminded what scoring goals does, is massive to a striker - if he can stay fit for 2-3 years he'll be a real asset - that I have no doubt

But NW hath done more than can be accounted for by Best in the last couple games.

A good chef has the same ingredients but timing and heat and how is essential.

NW kills NR tactically .

I have a work colleague who has a season ticket at Blackburn. He reckons Best ran further at Ipswich to get on the end if our break away and score than he ran for them in the average 90 minutes. He is a talented player. If his attitude is right he is a real asset to us. Of course credit must go to NW and KB for getting him 'at it'. It would be harsh though not to feel that NR was unlucky with him. The first game he played we won at Leeds and he played really well then got a red, and he gets injured and is never seen again. Is he someone we would want to keep if we are in the Championship next season? On present form you have to say yes, but that is judging him over two or three games. For me he has to do it between now and the end of the season to earn a further deal.
