Everyone bar the ever heroic Ian opted out of what seemed an impossible bonus round and Judging by Ian's Bounus column you would do well not to follow him. In week 38 however a hefty Bonus and perhaps title winning opportunity may have passed some by. Two teams recorded more than 7 yellow cards and we very nearly had more than 6 goals (Bristol 6-0 winners) in one game and came within 2 shots of the required 24 shots by one team.
In any case, Ian predicted more than 19 corners a very long shot but still retained his 40 bonus as the 2 games with yellow cards protected him.
Therefore, all the cluckers as MMM rightly suggested keep a useless 40 bonus points and the one brave among us faired little better in riches but did sleep well...
Ian's form has picked up again after a decade in free-fall (more than can be said for the hapless Exeter), while Oneaday is slowly drifting out to sea. Many have criticised the once hot-shot for seemingly booking his holiday some weeks ago and rumours that an audio file of someone rehearsing a winners speech is indeed the one time Golden Boy...
Unifier, however stuttered this week as all amateurs are apt to do in the early part of their careers when faced with the prospect of glory, but remarkable with little going his way, S8, suddenly produced 4 clinical strikes to come second in this weeks games and put real pressure on at the top as he eased to a very healthy 44.
Here are weeks 38 scores with Bonus:
Ian=92
S8=84
Worcester=82
Exeter=82
TLA=78
GHF=77
MMM=77
Andy=77
Oneaday=76
Unifier=70
