Danny Ward is proving what many of us on here have been saying for a long time. He's a skillful, unselfish and hardworking footballer who is invaluable to a team struggling for survival. His fantastic prowess in the air and his ability to hold up the ball until support arrives is what we need to give us respite from some of the talented sides that we have to play. Sometimes his dedication to chase everything results in him picking up injuries but touch wood he is on a good run of fitness and I hope it lasts for the rest of the season and beyond. He's worth having in the side even if he doesn't score because he's primarily a provider, but when he does score he's star quality. Anyone who remembers Dave Gwyther will have seen the likes of Danny Ward at Rotherham before!
Good post Glenn. I think all the guys are giving everything they have got, it's obvious to see that hard work rubs off and is contagious. As you say (as quite a few have on here), Danny epitomises the work ethic that is needed to stay up.
