ANY manager that plays Collins again, seriously need to look themselves in the eye. Not one for singling out, and yes he tries but this bloke wouldn't get in my 5 a side team.
1. First goal, a clearing header that I see my u10s do better with
2. Martins sitter that he missed, the ball in was a yard from his feet I've said before this guy cannot lunge to block
3. Lesson not learned from point 2. 2nd goal same thing, why is he not throwing himself at the ball? Why is it left to Mattock who's facing his own goal, surely since u7s football you are taught that man facing the attacking goal deals with it
4. That back pass, an utter joke for a seasoned pro on £X 000's a week, and I believe he's done that before this season?
I'm not knocking his creditability (where have we heard that before) but Collins you're a liability, please see out your contract and do your FA badges (which I've no doubt you'll excel in) but please do yourself and football a favour and realise your days are long long gone
Wasn't at the game as I'm away but I can't see how having ago at one player helps. It wasn't so long ago broadfoot was getting the same treatment. Players will always make mistakes. Where was the cover for him? Or was he left isolated one on one? As I said I wasn't there but he has my full support as does green. UTM
Collins IMO, yesterday was his last game..... i do believe we are better without him in the team, He was not listening to Kirky, the back line was disjointed, so DCFC attackers could loiter in the hole between, it smacks of i dont care.
I know everybody has a different opinion on any given match - but collectively , i think we all agree that his defending was shambolic, beyond belief.
But on to Ipswich, we are unbeaten still in 4 games, moving up the form table, we just need MK to slip up.
Collins made a number of blunders during the game. I accept that players make wrong decisions or errors, it all part of being human.
BUT
When have made a horrific backpass, he stopped, hands on hips, and just walked back. That to me is disgraceful, to show no hunger or desire to undo the huge error you have just made. If he would have sprinted back its likely he would have put pressure on Ince who was following up the second ball.
I suspect that will be his last game in a Millers shirt.
As for Green, his legs have gone and its clear he is now too soft and not got the bottle to make a 'crunching tackle'. He isn't a battler. He does 'ok' for where we are at the moment, but he always looks liable to make a blunder similar to Collins.
If I was Warnock / Manager - both would be leaving in the summer.
