First we are rehabilitation club for crocks ..... now we are rehabilitating bad boys please dont do it we are a better club than this .
If we have to be relegated lets do it with our heads high , we dont want players like this round our kids .
Agreed Len. We have become the club that will take you on, whatever your past. Criminal convictions, FA bans, you name it. Football in the Community - my a**e.
Just a question... Don't know this lad, what has he done? If it's not a sex crime and his offence was at a young age I'm quite forgiving, please enlighten never heard of him.
He is one of those players who court controversy , was involved in a rape case he was found innocent but after the week our town as just had we don't need him .
A long history of trouble Fliker. Various allegations of assault (whether sexual or just fighting), property damage, posing on social media with a replica gun etc. Some proven or accepted and some not. FA sanction for ****phobic comments. Fall outs with clubs and went AWOL for a few weeks or months while at Blackpool. All allegedly. You get the picture. Promising talent as a kid as yet unfulfilled as an adult. Without a club for many months.
I put his name forward at the beginning of the season. I didn't know his background, but I think this is a step too far looking back at the comments and not the kind of person we need at our family club. Smacks of despair
Despair is right...............jeez, why not invite Ched Evans & have done with it??
We're all but down. The club hierarchy should accept this & plan for L1 & STOP CLUTCHING AT SOME EXTEREMELY DODGY STRAWS. The damage was done last summer & this coming close season we have to get it right starting with sacking fat mans son!!!!
As Derbymiller has already pointed out we should be planning for League 1 next year. That means not signing criminals, journeymen, crocks and losers. It mean playing young Yates and bedding him in.
The only positive I have here is that when we played Blackpool at NYS last year he stuck out as their best player by a mile.
