After Evans left, I mentioned Ferguson Jr for the job, I always liked the way his teams played (Good, attacking football). He has obviously gone to Donny since and is doing a good job there. Not too sure what contract he signed, however, does that matter these days?
I see that some Egyptian club has just fired Mido as manager after 7 games - 4 wins, 1 draw, 2 defeats. That is quite a win ratio, and he has Championship experience as a player at least. Outside bet....?
Be careful what you wish for with Warnock. His last proper spell as a manager (apart from 4 games at QPR) was at Palace. During that spell, he had seventeen games in charge - surely a long enough period to judge a manager over - and had a win percentage of 17.65%, making him over that spell officially (discounting a couple who only had a few games as caretaker) the worst manager that Palace have had in their entire history. Even worse than Neil Redfearn was with us!
The stats are from Wiki (search ' Crystal Palace managers win record') so they must be right.
Just a bit of fun. I was looking at Warnock's record and when I saw the above stat I couldn't resist it.
Given that we have sacked Redfearn whether I like it or not, and given that the Chairman seems to be willing to chase staying up in this league as a short term goal whether I like it or not, Warnock is probably the best man for the job. If he comes in, or whoever comes in, we should get behind him 100%.
