Yes very sad. Never listened to his radio show, but he was very funny on Blankety Blank, and he was very entertaining on Eurovision with his sharp wit and a beguiling self parody. A charming, and honest man, few and far between in the entertainment business these days.
Not really my cup of tea either to be honest (although I always enjoyed his withering Eurovision commentaries) but he struck a chord with many people with his laconic style and charm, and he seemed like a decent man. It is sad that he has passed on.
