Good.

attacking midfielder in any guise will do Redders.

I dont care if he plays as a two up front or runs the show from the centre...as long as he puts pressure on the opposition and creates space for the striker...

Luciano Becchio is the real deal. He should be able to lead the line and create goal scoring opportunities for himself and other players in the team.

Honestly if we play like that first 45 and particular first 20 mins we'll pick up the points we need, there are a lot worse teams in that bottom 8 than us when playing like that. I've knocked Greeny 2 ways to Sunday in the past but apart from his error (and poss sent off and pen) had Hoilet not scored the first - for his standards I thought he was excellent. But neither him and especially Smallwood have zero nous to pick a right choice of pass through ball etc in the final third and you need that. In fact 4 times (I lost count) JCH positioned himself excellently and actually pointed for a through ball which he'd have been in, not once did that ball happen, it went wide every single time. We've got to have a player in there who isn't one dimensional thinking. Becchio, Best, JCH and Ward will all score goals if we have such a player chipping in with the assists. 21 chances tells a false story as there were only 1 or 2 that were quality, QPR had 1 of quality, 1 from an error of our own player, and 1 where our player lost his feet accidentally- all 3 being scored. It's harsh but its the reality of the Championship and difference between 5k and 20k a week players

Becchio was in championship terms the real deal. That was at least 3 years ago. I'll be amazed if he's anything like the player he was.

This is taking too long... something is wrong...

I suspect it won't happen, and WTF is the situation with Best?

Whilst I trust TS completely, I can't help thinking he has people around him at the club who you wouldn't trust to sell the Big Issue, let alone sort out contracts...

if a half decent manager from any business had a grip on this we would not be facing all these embarrassing issues with current and past signing issues, we appear not to learn ANY lessons on transfers..... and have a joke of a back office. :(

in my humble opinion....

Becchio has already signed till the end of the season. The club is awaiting International clearance. He should be available  for Saturday v Cardiff.

Best has had his groin operation and should be back in training in 2/3 weeks.

Ps. I didn't get my info from TTB, lol.

On a more serious note, I'm beginning to feel uneasy as gaz says, 'this is taking too long'. How long does it usually take for international clearance to come through, it must be almost a weeks now and our next match two days away. Theres still time, but the suspense and delay is a little unnerving.

He's signed so relax. Thing is, can he stay clear of injury?

Seen him a few times in training.

He looks leaner and more fit than last time we had him. All he needs is match fitness and after all he did score two goals the other day in a private behind closed doors.

Phew, it's official now!!! that's brill

I must say if we get Best fit, it could work out to be 4* B&B, long time since we've had one of them in the town.... :)

Awful David.

However, two fit powerful guys , leading the line and who knows- could be a God send.

Get kelly back and frecks and it's a decent looking attack and  balanced side. We need them all in asap though as games are running out.
