Kelly (& Best for that matter) have been a bad joke since they arrived, by that I mean permanent sicknotes. Why not try Richard Wood at RB, TBH anyone but Collins coming back in the side!!

It's been fairly obvious since Halford was preferred there in match1 that Richardson wasn't in the frame and frankly he has only been used as a last resort. Buxton is no better, and the fact that we are avoiding playing him so as to avoid triggering a second year on his contract (rumoured to be the situation) speaks volumes. Hopefully Kelly is fit for Preston. If not I would have thought Thorpe would be the next best option but Green came on before him at Fulham in that position. It has been a problem position all season. Not having a good, Championship standard specialist right back in for the start of the season was one of Evans' pre-season blunders. For me, we should move Richardson and Buxton on in January and get in a more athletic right back who has pace to cover in behind the centre backs, offers something going forwards, and who is likely to stay fit too.

Totally agree smiler. Sad if true re Buxton on many fronts but needs must. I thought he had several good performances but clearly not the rounded player a championship club can afford to have as first and only choice.

Whether that is the exact reason or not Ian, Buxton is not athletic enough or good enough for the Championship any more I'm afraid and the signs are that Redfearn shares that view. Richardson likewise. Look out for a new right back landing soon.
