Man City have recalled Brandon Barker from his loan spell. Not a great loss IMO

whilst I didn't see the Ipswich game, from what iv seen coming off the bench he hasn't really offered anything. looked a little weak.

because he isn't playing, lad has talent and over xmas with all the games we need a full squad we lost 3 players today, how can that be good

Looks to have plenty of skills but don't think strong enough for championship at this stage of his development , think we will hear his name in a couple of years , good luck to lad at least he seemed interested not like some of freeloaders on books .

i love how rotherham fans state that england players are good enough for us, makes me laugh

Come on bud, we need battlers if we're to survive this season. For all his skills, Barker was a lightweight ***** who shirks out of tackles just as he did a couple of times v Wolves when he came on.

This lad had style and flare in abundance. His goal in one of only two starts was superb, he was certainly good enough when his light agile frame ghosted past 2/3 defenders to curl it into the top corner. He was probably our only player who tried to take on anyone. We want battlers to survive yes but we also need some craft and someone to run at defenders, so if it's the battlers and hoof ball you want your welcome to it, me I'd like to have watched barker running at defenders and having a go. As it said on the man city site " this lad is good enough to keep Rotherham up on his own as long as they play him and are good enough to give him the ball in space". Well we couldn't even do that. We have definitely let a diamond escape our grasp, he will be a top player for our oppersition I'm afraid.

 yep -I loved seeing him trying things-I watched leicester v chelsea on the telly and they kept two up front even when the score was 2-1,didn't go defensive to try and hold on and I LOVED it .AAH WELL.hmm

we are down anyway, battlers wont make a difference now would rather see us going for it with some skillful players

The more I reflect in this the more it destroys what little faith I have left for this season.

Here was a player with clearly more ability than anyone else we have.

He attacked and easily went past players. He can abviouly hit the net.

******* ridiculous isn't it on reflection.

Redfearn stated Ledesma was not what we needed right now, Barker is 100 times the player, so says it all what his ethos is going to be. We're going to go into games going for a point minimum, keeping it tight and staying in a game, not going for it like we all want, its LVG tactics, minimum risk. Is that because as he says the squad isn't good enough, does it also mean January is not going to present the opportunities that he wants because we are absolutely skint and even the board are resigned to the inevitable L1 football next season, that's why TS is so quiet?
