I am thinking that if he can't get in the match day squad when he is the only natural, genuine attacking wide player we have then we probably won't see him again. He is obviously thought less of than an untried teenager (Barker). He has pace which is something we are short of, but he hasn't been good enough. He had a shocker in the first game against MK Dons, missing an open goal and not tracking back to defend their third (I think) goal, and never made his mark. It might be a good move for all concerned.
He's been a bit of a disappointment, like many of our signings this season. He looked good in one of the pre season friendlies, against Leicester I think, when he came on as a substitute and showed blistering pace down the left.
Unfortunately he has never shown anything like that ability in his limited appearances for the first team.
This may prove to be a good move for all concerned but I do wonder if he's really consistent enough to play regularly in the Championship.
