As the site has a few more regular contributors, 4 current members of the Millers Banter Prediction League have expressed we take a vote on the inclusion of new members and current members who have not 'turned up' for all the games thus far.

The proposal is that we invite new players by giving them an incentive of 30 points per game missed.

This would also mean that those who started but have not carried on be given an amnesty of 30 points for each game missed.

This would be a one time only offer for this season

The only problem with this I have is that I presume we will be given 30 points for any week we miss in future, so it disincentivises people to get their predictions in in time. Have no problem doing a one off addition of new members during the "season", but if they fall by the wayside, then so be it. Maybe something to ponder for future seasons. We could also have an "appeals panel" for losses caused by outside factors, e.g. being stuck in Sharm-el-Sheikh (topical), or computer crashes etc. We would require evidence to be presented, and need to review the footage before we agreed to add say an average of their previous weekly scores. Have voted for the inclusion, as I agree with the more the merrier.
