Kirk Broadfoot on his 10 match ban

Not the most accurate piece of reporting you will read but Broadfoot's comments are interesting regarding his fracas with McLean.

I sent this to Integrity@thefa.com in July. As being as they didn't grace me with a reply - here it is,

Dear sir

As a Rotherham United fan I would like to question the recent ban Imposed by the FA on Kirk Broadfoot.

I fully support the need for disciplinary measures in racial abuse cases, however, I find that the apparently one-sided 10 match ban for this instance of verbal abuse absolutely over the top considering he would have got less for biting or using other racist words such as those used by Suarez.

May I point out that an argument between a protestant and a catholic on a football pitch was not a one-sided affair. Where is the ban for the other party? This party does not care who he offends by not wearing poppies or by turning his back on our national anthem.

I feel aggrieved and my perception is that there are rules for small clubs and different rules for the big clubs.

If you have anything about you – at all – you will review this outrageous ban immediately. If there is no reduction to the ban, or no ban imposed on the other party it will leave a perception of the FA having political and racial bias themselves.

Regards

Heman

I have NO affiliation with either football club other than being a supporter.

They gave me a very well written reply last year when I brought into question the integrity of the referee versus Middlesbro at home. I was happy with their response put it that way. I'm a qualified ref so that goes some way.
