I feel so sorry for Redfearn. He can only work with the players that he inherited ATM & he must realise that by the time January comes we'll need snookers. All Millers fans who are realistic knew that the two away games v Derby & Boro were only to bring two hammerings.

Personally I can't wait until next August when we will be playing on a level playing field against similar sized clubs with similar budgets. Evans, whilst doing well to get us up, did it with small time fixes, loan signings etc & there was no future planning at all, no investment in youth as last weeks 7-0 defeat the reserves suffered bears out.

I haven't enjoyed the one & a half seasons in the Championship which is quite sad, but hopefully the next time we come back we have a long term strategy, a thriving youth policy & I also hope in this results driven business that Neil Redfearn is given the task of leading that strategy.

I think Redfern will come good but he has to build his own side and I fear that will be in Lge 1 hmmhmmhmm

Brad remember those players won the two games prior to his arrival and played well.

The manager picks the players, the manager sets up the team, the manger decides the tactics, the manager motivates the team and sends them out to get a results. Let me just say, Ward on the right, trying to defend our 18 yard box FFS. Collins and Broadfoot our two slowest central defenders both selected. At half time what sort of thought process goes through your mind that the player to get us back in the game is Green? Newell who looked one of our better players in the first half subbed and Tofefee left on.

I could go on but I'm far too depressed to think anymore about that shambles of a performance.

No heart, no desire, no hope. At least Evans could get the best out of our average players. We are Rotherham we can't spend £1m on a player, so getting the best out of an average team is where we are at and we just ditched the best man for that job.

Rant over.

Come on brad, change the tune.

Be fair. Redders and no manager gets away with that excuse. Pound for pound he is doing very badly. He is playing teams that every fan would say NO to.

If the plan is to get relegated in some vain hope he will suddenly be great when he has no track record is pretty bias.

If he doesn't do anything this year then he needs sacking . I'm not saying he keeps us up. I am saying he makes some improvement on the pitch that everyone can clearly see and agree on.

I've got no issue with losing. What grates the sh*t outta me is I've bothered to give up my Saturday, pay X amount in tickets, refreshments and fuel only to see too many individuals either not give a crap or make errors or bad choices it is absolutely inexcusable for a full time pro to make. Ball watching defending your own 30 yard line and allowing players to pass through our back 4 the way Derby did is purely down to lack of desire. The last 3yrs our squad has got progressively worse. Evans has left us in a right mess, but today was more than that. If Redfearn cannot get the best out of what we have, prepared to show some fight, belief and bravery in showing for the ball or making a run we are well and truly screwed.

Just reading through some of the posts and it appears, in some quarters, that the knives are already being drawn and seemingly blame Redfearn for our current plight. Its amazing what short memory some have ridgeway.

It most certainly is.  Not sure NR was the best choice if the prime intention was survival.  He may, however, be a decent choice if TS is taking a longer view?  I did pop on MM for the first time in weeks and enjoyed Zilzal's excoriating post!

I had to go back on to another Millers' site just to refresh my memory of pre-season.  There's me pointing out that Evans was letting too many class players leave and dismantling the defence and bringing in rubbish.  I got completely slagged off as an idiot by sages who were "excited" at the quality signings and who knew that Morgan, Arnie etc were rubbish and good riddance.  Predictions of top half just look a little sad now.

Exeter, it was your choice to leave a perfectly adequate bedsit in Canklow to seek fame and fortune in Southern climes.  Hard cheese if you now have to incur vast expense following the lads.   And don't get me started on Sickly.wink

Gutless performance by half a dozen yesterday. Not fit for purpose and should have donated their wage to this site.

So so disappointing. You build from the dire mess you find yourselves in (DVS), get 2 promotions and then p*** it down the drain.

88 players most of which were/are poor signings but to witness that display by Rotherham United players was humiliating. No way Redders fault. Evo left so he didn't take the wrap. Really hope we wup em at Leeds later this month

Ex is right, the fans saved the day but how sad is it to hear "We lose every week" - Twas charmingly funny though

That is terrible sad indeed. Glad I wasnt there.

But, I will say it again. An individual gutless performance is the current managers responsibility. I am not saying he is crap. I am just saying it must have something to do with how they are currently responding to Redders. Perhaps they know the writing is on the wall for them and championship status and have lost the will.

I do worry about how critical Redders is in his Post match interviews. For 3 weeks now he has been saying the current team isnt up to it...imagine your boss did the same at every review or team meeting. In any walk of life to be told that you, part of the current set up aint up to it will deffo drain you of enthusiasm.

Perhaps the fans chant is simply a reflection of the current management attitude. Its only a comparison but there is no way fans would be singing while SE was in charge.

Biggest player we miss is Arnason. The ONLY player who can fill his boots is Thorpe. Thorpe in midfield would be my first name on the team sheet. Build around him.
