Brewing Company Creates The Strongest Can Of Ale Ever Made

It’s a beast,’ its creators admit

A brewing company has created the strongest can of beer ever sold in the UK - clocking in at a slightly terrifying 12.7%.

The Black Eyed King Imp is made by Scottish company Brewdog, who describe it as ‘“a massive monster of a beery beast’.

It’s a dark stout, and matured in bourbon casks with vanilla beans.

While there are other beers of similar strength, they’re sold in bottles, not cans.

The stout is unlikely to become a hit with street drinkers, however - it costs £9.50 a can..

James Watt, co-founder of BrewDog, said, ‘We love big flavours, and challenging people’s perceptions.’

‘Black Eyed King Imp is super intense and complex, rocking intense notes of vanilla, rich espresso, smooth molasses and bitter chocolate.’

I think they are making a big mistake putting it in a can, much prefer a nice bottle conditioned vintage ale, probably a similar price too.

Roger and Out at the Frog & Parrott is a 12% beer, and we've had this for ages, albeit exclusively in 1/2 pint glasses.

Would you prefer the drink straight out of a can? i wouldnt.

I mean its a cheap night all round, one of them at home before hitting the dance floors of Rotherham, saves a bob or two.

I believe that the Frog and Parrot on Division Street, Sheffield is still there today.

I never actually sampled the Roger and Out brew though.

This was from my sexual experimentation period and was how I thought a gay man should approach beer.

During ****rty and adolescence most of us probably had a passing infatuation with an older boy at school, particularly the

head boy.

The head boy who was good at cricket, rugby and football. The lad who was also popular with the girls. The lad who was

having fun with those girls which involved some kind of mysterious activity. I asked my pals about those mysteries of life.

When I found out what was going on I soon started to played football and cricket. I wanted to be in the same club as the

funsters. Invitations to parties soon followed. I was awkward with the girls at first. The girls soon changed that.

In short my experimentation with the opposite sex was more fun than any passing flirtation with a glass of ale.

Yes, we also had a head girl too. She was a lot older than me. I would have been punching above my weight though.

I see you have a new avatar there, ridgeway? Suits you sir. Have a look at the kit below.

It's all the rage in pipe smoking circles. Trust me.

By the way have you got some of Captain Longshaft's rough shag in your bowl?

Very nice kit.  I haven't been able to get my hands on any Longshaft recently but remain hopeful.  The wife won't let me vape indoors so I've built this nifty little shelter which I'm thinking of patenting.

Here's one in the closed position.  I'm inside with my trusty TECC Titan CC which you can see gives quite a nice throat hit.

The 'nifty shelter' looks a bit iffy to me, ridgeway.

You could be putting yourself at risk from passing traffic.

Ouch!!!  You can never have too much health and safety these days, Andy.  I may have to go back to the drawing board.  Here's a lady friend of mine who is very partial to a rough shag.  She reckons she's never happier than with her pipe full of Captain Longshaft.
