Delighted!!!!
My preferred choice, though I did wonder about the two & a half year deal, thought Tony might give him till the end of the season to prove himself. Time for ALL Millers to get behind Mr Redfearn!!!!

No problem with this appointment. He will be itching to get to work for a supportive Chairman and a club where there is some stability and a chance to prove himself in his own right in the long term. Good luck to him.

I'm a bit underwhelmed to be honest. His track record isn't great and his experience in the Championship in particular isn't good. However, he's here now and I hope he proves me wrong. He will get the support and I hope he comes good, but I'm concerned.

If I'm honest pod that's exactly how I feel but was a bit nesh in admitting it.

His leeds record is ok ish with 15 wins from 38 I think. However, he did have a leeds United squad which is always going to be ok ish too.

He is not naturally a character I warm too but that's not to say others won't and players may want to play for him. I feel bad saying this but he appears a little out of his depth but I dare say its just a feeling so I'm might be being biased.

On the plus side, he might be very personable on a 1-1 . Here's hoping that what Tony sees is exactly what the club needs.

I think NF is someone who is able to coach and not just motivate players and like SB earns respect from the players by coaching them in positive ways .they may not like him but they will respect him. He will also be able to bring a proven policy for creating the youth structure that TS wants. Which I believe that was a fundamental reason for evans been sacked as he had no interest in nurturing the young talent we had and lost. I think there will me one or two more appointments to add to his backroom staff. I think we will notice a difference in the players. And with the NF watching from stands expect a lot of coaching on the final third and set pieces

Personally I was hoping that this might be a "Tommy Docherty moment" with a big name to put the club firmly on the map.  I shall give NR my full support but am underwhelmed to the point of yawnyawnyawn

Lets not write him off just yet, cant see his pre/post-match interviews being anything like SE's

Don't forget kid where the doc left us falling into 3rd division , why are so many fans so down about NR appointment l feel TS made a good decision here , we know the club have got to get a youth policy going and this bloke's got good record for that but I do think they will have to bring Thommo in as well as they seem to be a duo .So come on lets be more positive and get behind him and im sure he'll get us the results we want.

Lenthemiller, Steve Evans is a hard act to follow. I think Redders will be judged more harshly as a result. Unless he gets off to a flyer in the first dozen matches the pressure will be on much more than if it were Evans. Speaking for myself , I would have gone for a more charismatic figure to keep the energy high.

Let's hope his less than exuberant welcome is purely a hangover from the events of the last few weeks. I'd love to meet the guy to get a vibe as to hus character for real. I guess he is not much of a self promoter but that doesn't mean he can't get players motivated. It's just harder to imagine.
