The new manager

some had quoted on other sites about charisma

my opinion is who cares

what we want is a manager who takes on board his coaches advice and listens to the players

1) man management skills

2) tactically aware of the challenges of this league ( no hoofball uses mid field and not to use any atactic that leave us one up front

3) plays the right player in the right position

4) has good contacts for any loans we need

and prepared to give some of the youth a chance

this is where the previous management they could or would motivate only in a certain way and if the player didnt respond then he was out.

brindley, rowe, rose yates to name a few these were young lads with potential who need a proper coach not motivation.

Id agree we have some good young guns but they are hired guns, other than Thorpe. Lads like Grant Ward and Swift last term are good loan players and given a chance good to watch. What I meant by my comment was players like Rowe, Rose, Thompson and the like, young Rotherham players who have been unceremoniously shipped out in favour of "experienced" championship journey men on far higher wages

exactly gazmad

because the previous management duo didnt have the coaching skills necessary to cover this they got shut.
with them gone and we have a coach in black and the new guy brings in another coach this can only be a good thing for players such as yates

That first sentence hits it square between the eyes !! Success may have come at the hands of SE but neither he nor PR were coaches no matter how many courses they attended of badges they held !!

Black is a coach of great skill and experience.  We need (4), ie. a manager with wide contacts and a broad knowledge of what's happening in football.
