I can't forget that in all the drama of the last few days and throughout the history of RUFC one person stands tall above all others.
I've been upset and even felt worried about the future and TS but I have no reason to continue this beyond a normal grief to the unexpected and unwanted.
So, TS hasn't ever let us down and has been the driving force and fulcrum behind all the wonderful things that have happend this last several years.
There is no reason to think he won't continue to make sure RUFC prosper beyond today by making wise and hard choices.
I'm behind all the good folk behind Tony but mainly it's been his vision, integrity and continued risk management and gambling that have got us here more than Steve Evans in terms of the big picture.
He is a historical figure and a continued present to us all.
I am getting a bit narked now seeing and reading about Steve Evans this and Steve Evans that. The Club is broadly maintaining a dignified low profile. SE is playing the media game with anyone who will give him the oxygen of publicity to give his version of events and boost his profile and his reputation. He told Sky that he and TS are 'men of huge integrity'. Really? The sooner he gets the job he wants the better and hopefully it is in Scotland as rumoured so that we don't have to see too much of him. Let's get behind TS 100% - I am sure that he really does have integrity, and really does have RUFC at heart.
Yes Ian, I let my frustration with the Evans claptrap get the better of me, but in essence my contribution was also about TS. The point I was really making was that it has been all about Evans since Monday in the media, and I wish he would clear off because it ought to be (as you suggest) all about Tony and RUFC. Friday is our opportunity to make it so in front of the Sky cameras - although annoyingly I fear that Sky might be Evans-focussed as well given that he is such a 'big character'. A big show of support for TS would send the right message out.
Your wish will not be granted, though. Remember, we are set for a full statement after the Burnley game from SE and after that a visit to the training ground to say goodbye to the players and staff. So, whatever the quality of performance or results on Friday night, it's all soon to be superseded by another round of somebody telling us what he thinks in the third person.

yes, it would be great to have a near full house of millers and a refrain of support for tony and RUFC.
