How come when we need energy. and fracking comes along. all the tree huging ******* activists find something to latch on to.

The don't want frakin windmills, they don't want nuclear, they don't want coal.

What do they want?

Trees are my favorite things but Im not a lets be having em.

Im also in favour of nuclear and a bit of fracking.

One day i hope to live in a solar powered paradise with lots of lets be having em.

 We still burn more coal to generate electricity than anything else, tragedy is that none of it is produced here...not getting into the political side of this, but it really is scandalous and no-one seems bothered.

Couldn't agree more MMM.  We are a hostage to fortune.  Importing coal, increasingly dependant on imported gas and oil, and nuclear power plants owned by foreign interests.  No coordinated policy to speak of.  No manufacturing industry left to speak of.  Disgraceful.

 The political class in Britain are a fracking disgrace who listen only to the City of London.  What happens when you sell everything off to Johnny Foreigner is exemplified by the Redcar Thai-owned SSI plant.

 Correct, and that has happened in many many instances in many different industries, scandalous.
