Totally agree with this post. What does Evans have to do to get the full backing of millers fans? He is the most successful manager we have had in years, and in my opinion should be in charge even if we get relegated.
it also frustrates me the criticism that new players get if they don't hit it off in their first couple of games. It is pretty obvious that players need 5-7 games to bed into a team, and this is exactly what has happened to Danny Collins. There is no way he should be dropped, as some were calling for on various sites and Twitter.
Lets hope the team get the reception they deserve on Friday. Should be a great night in front of the cameras.
Some folks just simply love to exaggerate the issues . The world is unfortunate in that it breeds a capacity in life to feed off others pain. It's the only wat they know how to get their energy.

The criticism of Roos was uncalled for - well SE disagreed because he found the need to drop him and return him to his parent club.
The criticism of Halford as Captain was uncalled for - well SE disagreed because he stripped him of that role and handed it to Frecks.
The criticism of Halford's desire and ability were uncalled for - well SE disagreed because he dropped him and he's been a bench warmer since.
After his pre season performance against Leicester, the suggestion that JCH should be first name on the striker team sheet was uncalled for - well SE disagrees because he now classes him as one of the best in the Championship.
You guys need to get your heads around the fact that just because people voice opinions which may not accord with yours or SE's, they are not attempting to undermine the integrity of the club or management, they don't love RUFC any less than you do and they are, quite often, right - as our manager's actions of late have proved.
Ian - I find your comment "It's the only wat they know how to get their energy." as puerile as it is badly written! It's almost as bad as calling honest, well meaning fans Nupties (sic).
Spot on Glenn. There were plenty who were putting forward heartfelt constructive criticism without resorting to insulting anyone who thought differently. It seems that a couple of wins have emboldened one or two have bought into the 'you're either with SE or you're a Wednesday numpty RUFC hater in disguise' line. All a bit unnecessary, especially since SE was (for the reasons you set out Glenn) a closet numpty all along.
I think you have slightly misunderstood glen. Please note I have only drawn attention here to the positive bond between manager and fans. I am pointing out that any exaggerated response might not be helpful, this is my opinion.
The whole picture has been somewhat confused perhaps but I have been one of those who thinks the manager wasnt having a go at fans and Im not at all sure anyone was talking about individual players and decisions. Ive always thought this was about the way the team has started and the way the media has constantly written us off without much apparent thought.
What I was suggesting was that the manager has said he was not criticising the fans. Hopefully you can see I dont mention the fans directly either although I do respond to a thread with fans mentioned in it. I have always been happy that others have opinions. All I care about is that they are expressed without abuse, which brings us on to the comment you find so distressing.
Im sorry you find my comment childish.I believe those pundits and managers/players that undermine others do indeed find it easy to generate energy from negative dynamics rather than look a little harder at what endevour is taking place. I think this is a basic flaw in our orientation as humans but that is perhaps another story. Once again, I must draw attention to the point I am making over and over again in this post and all my posts. I dont think I am any different than any other fans. I feel exactly the same as anyone else. Criticism is great but I dont think SE was having a go at fans specifically.
I have no negative vibe towards fans who do have criticism of players or staff. I myself have had significant doubts about the players you mentioned but also been wrong as many times as I am right. The fans that pay and watch are in a privileged position of actually experiencing the team and have legitimate opinions that I respect based on that. So , just for clarity I respect those that watch and express an opinion based on that but those that dont and have no heart for the club should be criticised
The last note I would like to mention is that I suffer from dyslexia and try very hard to make myself understood. I am almost entirely self taught as I did not leave school with any qualifications. Since, I have managed all my A levels and 2 degrees and am currently undertaking a masters (god only knows why). However, this is not a cure, its just managing it in my way and time. Its important for me to note this as it has been a source of embarrassment.

All fair enough Ian. But GHF started the thread by labelling SE's critics bell ends, and his post makes it pretty clear that he is giving that label to his fellow Millers who questioned the big guy. Pretty inane stuff I grant you - I doubt it will keep anyone awake at night - but unnecessary and unfortunate all the same.
Ian - my comment regarding grammar/spelling was intended to point out the irony with regards to the topic heading. I am in no position to criticise people's use of English.
Your loyalty to SE is laudable and I know you have questioned on many occasions whether or not he was having a go at the fans. The fact is, he has stated that there is an element of the fan base with which he is annoyed. He didn't say it was this messageboard but I dare say he wouldn't have appreciated some of the opinions that were being voiced on here.
If I had been him, and I'm not (!), I would have kept my counsel and concentrated on the positives.
I drew a line under the numpty saga when it was first raised. This is now an emboldened line! Onwards and upwards!!!

Yes smiler, and I responded by suggesting he was passion ate and noting the bond btw fans and manager from 'today' was hoping to support that bond. Nothing more really.
We all know SE made some very obvious mistakes and perhaps gambled too long. The one I still can't understand is the Roos saga. I can accept he stuck with him given we had Collin as replacement but I don't understand why we gambled on someone with no firm whatsoever. Anyway its worked out very well .

Forgive me for replying since you have drawn a line under it.
I'm not sure he ever said the word fans. If he did then I am clearly wrong but I haven't heard it anywhere , either in print of audio.
I agree, I too would probably try and keep my cool under the cir***stances but I might well have failed too. I think sometimes I often try to do what I really don't want to and this just often builds up tension. I'm working on saying how I feel as much as possible because in the end each must do what is right by themselves.
Look at José, Arsene and sir Alex, in football and in life all very different people. They all say what they want and none of them care too much about what others think. There are some meek and more cautious managers of course but I am not sure it has much to do with success or failure on the football pitch. Interesting question perhaps.
I'm sorry for being a bit aggresive , but I have never had a bad word to say against Steve Evans.
I thought I would do my job in industry, and let Evans get on with his.
Who ever says . "He got us as far as he can"
also said that after the first promotion.
Let the lad do his job. It really ****es me off when so called supporters have a go at our Manargers , teams etc.
Heres looking to a good crowd Friday.
I neither like or dislike Steve Evans but i respect him as he has given us success in the last few years and for that he is lucky to have a chairman who backs him NO DISPUTES THAT.
But all fans have a right to criticise when they have just seen a poor performance by a player or due to managerial decisions. As long as these are give in a proper manner with no one word comments .
Other fans may not like them but opinions are like ********s every one has one.
At the end of the managers are like players come and go but our club always remains.
Yes i have criticised evans mainly on his tactics player choice and man management I said that if he was unable to see this and learn from his mistakes he made last year, which was his learning curve. And lets be honest here upto the cardiff match it looked like he hadn't then it would have better for the club he had left. We rotherham united not evans united or evans red and white army. yes he has deserved his chance. but the theory of evoultion states if you dont evolve you fail
1) his choice of captain which has proven correct and why paly if the man had off field issues and give him responsibility of captain. that was BAD DECISION AND COST US
2) Roos GK why did he get him and put him in front of collin yes we needed another GK but he could have gone on the bench to see how collin worked out roos never on bench on for derby.
3) Formation 4 5 1 wasnt working we could see this and it wasnt down to black evans makes the decision
4) although we dont know the full facts but why has wood never been given a chance and collin it just seemed anyone but him in goal firstly with roos terrible camp so far good
but to his credit he has made changes got some decents loans in and got a settled team and we now have two wins
so onwards and upwards up the millers
and just because we criticise evans tactics doesnt mean we are not true fans but are seeing things clear glass not the rose tinted ones his disciples wear
