You must continue to prove your critics wrong, SE.
Just show them that you can prepare the players before each game and not during the game.
You were impeccable against Cardiff.

More victories on the way?

You betcha!

Andy, please stick to what you know, ie. Carry On style double entendres.  Leave the football analysis to experts like me.

Well spotted, sir.  The change is to reflect my temporary adoption of the Japanese rugby team.  I feel in the longer term something more patriotic is called for so may opt for a Spitfire or Lancaster.  Be careful with the use of Fokker though as young Andy is a master of the double entendre and will no doubt have a field day with this, his beloved "chopper" and royal back passages.  You have been warned.wink

You will need to know that many years ago I used to play for The Fox and Firkin pub on the Lewisham High Street. This was a time before that hostelry was turned into a karaoke and disco bar. When I say that I played for them, well, it was for eight games in total.
I had to stop playing because of all the chants from the touchline.

The manager was always on my case.
He would often shout, 'For the Fox and Firkin's sake, Andy, show some enthusiasm.
Well, it sounded like that. I'm still not sure he said that even when I think about it now.

And so, I feel that from those footballing days I am more than well equipped to analyse the odd game.

Andy, it is a small world.  I used to drink in the Frog and Firkin next door to Westbourne Park tube station.  No idea if they had a footie team however as by then my war injuries had rendered me hors de combat.

The only Frog and Firkin I remember was the one off the Westway on Ladbroke Grove which was, as you say, not far from the Westbourne Park tube station.

In which war did you sustain those 'injuries', ridgeway?

One of my uncles was in the Chindits. He survived the war to enjoy both athletics and ballroom dancing.
