Well good result yesterday, pity we couldn't finish them off.
So in hindsight i am the forever the optimist, i reckon we will get a win on Tuesday 1-0.
First win of the season or will it be draw one loose one again, but that makes me a pessimist Nooooooooooooo.
What ever it is, UTM
Bit early to be on the scrumpy young sir. However, if you're serious you can get 14/1 for a Millers 1:0. I am a pessimistic realist by trade and will go for a 3:0 defeat.
Brighton out of the traps incredibly well but we could all see they had spent in the close season.
Hughton , won't have done their confidence much good with his post match comment ; ' ...didn't expect us to be doing so well'...
Could be just a little bit of helium escaped under pressure at the top.
There are three or four clubs near the top that surprise me although at this stage that's par for the course. I watched Ipswich on Friday and they were terrible. Early days I know but Burnley look good for a quick return.
Unless they go down to 9 men (which is unlikely as we all know that referees and the football league are in conspiracy against us) they will have the ball twice as long as us. We do not pass the ball well enough or have the options available to do so. Our idea of hitting the opposition on the break is to bang it over the top asap. Regular contributors may begin to think that there is a sense of irony about my moniker. Please believe me when I say that I am a cheerful soul at heart who wants us to do well. Come Tuesday I will need to avoid the bookies because my heart will overtake my head and I might waste some hard earned cash. I will support them 100%. I just can't see much to be positive about at the minute. I hope I am wrong, but I think that Ridgeway Kid may have this one taped and I also predict a 3-0 defeat. UTM (honest).
Well I love two things about statistics in football.
Brighton are top and Rotherham are bottom equals nailed on win.
Brighton have averaged roughly 1.5 goals per game and conceded 0.66 so we only have to score 1 goal to increase their goals conceded average and if we concede none their goals scored drops to 1.33. A 1-0 win is not impossible for us.
But the main emphasis of my post is that we should not be going into any game looking at the tables. As far as I am concerned every other team had a 4 games start.
Fair point, H but the thread asks for my prediction. I base this not only on the table but other factors to the best of my ability. People have detected green shoots on here before and they have been followed by a couple of hard landings: I just can't see any rational grounds for optimism on Tuesday.
Well, I think that the draw at Charlton on Saturday will have done the team's confidence the world of good, so with the same commitment we can get the same result, a well earned point.
Another defeat looks more than likely but hey it's RUFC so you never know. We so desperately need a striker and have done for more than a year. Reckon we will lose but narrowly. Predict 2 0 Brighton

There's no doubt Brighton are favourites by applying any sort of logic, but:
Despite any plans to 'respect us' they won't, so they may underestimate us, and
Top teams trip up against bottom teams all the time, and
We will be under no pressure other than the desire to win our first game of the season, so they have pressure, we don't.
A draw would be lovely, a win would be a nice surprise. If we get hammered, I'll look ahead to Saturday as a better test of our improvement and chance to win.
I think it will be similar to Charlton - we take the lead first, fail to add another and put the game to bed, and we are left hanging on to hopefully steal 3 or 1 point/s
