The new loan signings may improve us creativity wise, but until we sort out our leaky defence, especially centre backs, we're gonna keep losing games & Lee Camp is gonna get severe backache picking the ball out of our net.
While Evans is "manning up" & accepting that handing Halford the Captain's armband was a mistake, he should have added that GIVING Halford and his mate Collins a contract in the first place was a MASSIVE mistake!!!!
Most supporters are very upbeat about the three players that SE has brought in to bolster the squad.
Are they the answer to our current situation?
Will the two players from Norwich go straight into the starting eleven?
I've looked at the forthcoming fixtures.
It looks like it's still going to be an uphill struggle.
I keep asking myself the same question.
When will we win our first game in the Championship?

Andy, you're the guy who hangs around with mediums. If you don't know how do you expect the rest of us to? As to the favourable response by the fans to recent signings this proves nothing. These are the same fans who reckoned our close season signings would push us towards the play-offs.
As I have said in a post of my own, we will not win a game this season playing the Saturday tactics Evans continues to employ. In this division teams be they newly promoted or newly relegated will eat up our long ball ploy. The 3 signings made could, emphisise on the could make a difference. I however see them played in some position to fit the long ball to Derbyshire and relagagation :(

Ridgeway, you're right I have been known to hang around with mediums. I have a strong feeling that the Millers will surprise a
lot of people in the weeks to come. We will win enough games to keep us safe in the Championship.
Andy, I consulted Madame Esme on this and she predicted that you would soon be visited by men in white coats. Optimism is one thing, deranged lunacy another.
Seriously, would not be surprised if we hadn't won by Xmas. Cardiff, Reading and Owls at home represent the best hopes but could end as draws. Hard to see us picking up more than a point or two away from home before the end of the year. Or is this too optimistic?

Towdlad, you are correct, sir.
HH was my favourite TV show for a while. Wasn't he a dab hand with a brolly?
Back on track. Seriously there's some pessimists on here. If you foresee no wins by end of October then we don't deserve to be in this division. To put a context on how early it is in the season, when we played Fulham if we had won they would have been bottom. Instead they won and went up 9 places in the league.
I agree Heman that it is early days. I think it was not so much the fact of the defeat but the manner of it that has made people jittery. I don't see us winning against Charlton or Brighton (hope I am wrong). For me Cardiff is the most likely first win.
