The logic in the OP is unsustainable. Undue optimism in the face of evidence is an absurdity. All fans wish for their own club to stay up and 3 are always wrong. The idea that TS has superhuman powers not shared by other chairmen and that by sheer force of will can keep relegation away from the RUFC door is quite bonkers. I cannot see three other clubs worse than us and given our start I would say the bookies are right and we are gone.
I havent seen enough yet and so far we look like favourites for the drop.
Im all for optimism, but theres not enough evidence for me.

Unfortunately, Cardiff, like Xmas, come but once a year. [Not true, I know, but you get my drift.] We're still 4 points below my pre-season projection which had us finishing bottom. Logically therefore we should finish below bottom. I shall wear my "Numpty" badge with pride.
