Get steve may in. I've looked at several potential signings all of which alone will not solve anything (couldn't find a keeper) so I've decided let's roll the dice and spend our money on Mr may. Put him along side jch and let him prove himself. This is better than 2-3 so so players. I'm convinced he will be a revolution and our new Ronnie Moore. And won't it be fantastic when he scores the winner against .......you know who 😃
For one thing, he wouldn't be eligible to play against his home club, unless you're talking about buying him, which would be madness considering he's turned his back on us once. Let him rot in their reserves.
Well, i support every player who wears our shirt, and believe this or not, ive never ever booed anyone either, but i really don't like the mercenary types that abound these days, and i actually also think he's no better than what we've already got.
With the current method of doing things, the chances are he'd be played out of position so would not have the impact you/we would all wish for. I still think there is enough ability within the squad to pull it together but I do think we need A. N. Other to be able to do it.
I also don't like the mercenary players but they all appear to be the same. Which player turns down 20-30-40k a year extra (£400pw) and stays loyal to his club. Perhaps we would do the same given the choice, but it's the way of the world these days, but that's an ot topic for another day. Will he be better than what we have, who knows, but I think we have to gamble on one or two players that may make a difference and this is my choice. Yours would be?
I agree fliker, it's the system that's wrong, i'll tell you what i would do right now, arrange 2 behind closed doors games and play Rawson and Thorpe at centre back in both, young, hungry, and given that chance, i believe would flourish, and lets face it, they couldn't do much worse, could they?
