Northstanders in the West Stand for cup games

We really must do something about this.

West Standers and Northstanders are different kind of people. It's fine that people can roam about at cup games and try a different view but there should be limits.

Can't Northstanders sit somewhere different in the North Stand instead of coming over to the West stand were their coarseness, vulgarity and expletives are not appreciated?

I am not saying that west Standers are better, we just behave differently.

We simply can't have this anarchy just because it is a cup game.

So please Northstanders can you please stick to your own kind.

Yes I agree with that.

There were several strangers around me shouting loudly, some for no particular reason, some to insult our manager.

That's the problem with reduced ticket prices, it allows the lower orders to mingle with the rest of us.

I always like prices to be at bit higher in coffee shops, restaurants and so on..it's not just the quality but it keeps the riff raff out.

I even noticed one fella with what looked like a tattoo!

Strangely enough most of the middle class have tattoos but like to hide them-its sort of a repression thing-they do love to do things in secret.

Prawn sandwiches alone just cant help but give one a very fishy smell. I do agree though that the farts of a beer drinker arent the perfect accompaniment. Perhaps by mingling the middle classes can each adopt a rough diamond to nurture and patronise. Who knows, they may be able to guide them into further education where their new dreams can be crushed upon the banks of the river establishment, but there pockets will be lighter as they struggle through life.

In football terms, I would have thought it afforded an excellent opportunity for Ethology study. Alter all, Mr Evans can be clearly likened to a silverback as a starting point.

Please dont waste this excellent educational and social opportunity by being too reactionary to your disgust instinct. It might be that its past its evolutionary best before date.

N.B. I think this is another that needs to be OT.

I like the North Stand, despite my eroded Rovrum accent probably giving me automatic acceptance into the West Stand, maybe because I frequent Rovrum only a few times a year I like to be reminded of why I live elsewhere.

There's nothing like the aroma of pie, bovril and stale beer old man farts to get you in the mood to cheer on the lads 😃 - I also see it as a life learning experience for my 9yr old. Get ya ass to university, live darn sarf and this is what you can avoid, and only be party to it when you choose 😃

Fulham 1st game of the season for me, hoping that this incremental improvement continues, nostrils are honed, gut is ready to make my own contributions and apologies right now for the long queue of people whilst negotiating down the steps, my knee not ready for such punishment just yet

The South?  You can keep it Ex.  Tell your daughter if she works really, really hard and if she is very lucky in life she could be living in a nice big house in beautiful Yorkshire on the edge of the peak district and surrounded by glorious ancient woodland.  Rather than an expensive congested and life sapping hovel just because it is within reach of Europe's biggest car park (the M25).  I know where I'd rather be.

haha hope you're right pal, although a bit more ambition for your lad eh  Seriously though do you need a an extremely big wedge to have the equivalent life down south than you would have here in wonderful Yorkshire.

I'll stick to the lounge area. The beer is still as stale but the wind a little sweeter.

IBS's if your trying to provoke yet another inter Millers argument by pitching the West stand against the North stand you aint no Rotherham fan. I for one am not going to dive into your big cast trawler net and suggest you get yourself back to Millers Mad where your bait will be eagerly devoured.

Tryin to keep it real for my lad, he's a delight, clever etc but as soon as he crosses the white line his attitude is worse than Evans! I just hope he makes it enough so his football can help him at uni so he doesn't need a crappy flipping burgers job (although in itself is a good motivational tool).

And yes Yorkshire is delightful in many parts, was just jestin, I mean you go a few short miles from Swinton and you get Wentworth and the like, beautiful. And despite the criticism I love what they've done around the Minster, just needs a few Bistros, coffee shops, a bakery and a flower shop and its sorted

Gaz, stop being so suspicious.

I am just trying to establish some boundaries so we can all enjoy the game.

It's clear that Northstanders and Weststanders have little in common, apart from supporting the Millers. I quite clearly stated that I do not think us Weststanders are superior in anyway. We just behave differently.

Surely it's better for people to  stick to their own kind so we don't grate on each other.

Lets have a no switching stands policy shall we.

Bistros in Rotherham!!!!!!!...LOL

The only time that I persuaded Mrs K to go into a chip shop it was in Rotherham and she asked them for a Saveloy....the response was 'we dont do Saveloys round here darling, its battered sausage or nowt'

She now refuses to set foot in the town centre.

You wanna try living somewhere that think you're utter alien when you ask for gravy in a chippy! - Took me 9 years to find the 1 and only chippy in Exeter that does it!

Bet Mrs K was mortified lol - from that I got a weird flashback of Clarkson's take on Rotherham holidays 😃

I sit in the East Stand, and if I'm completely honest I wouldn't want anyone from the West Stand or the North Stand anywhere near the East Stand. We have standards cussing Evo seems a pastime in the West Stand and the language is awful, the Northstanders are crass .... Let's draw lines eh
